About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Middle Market Relationship Manager to join our team at Umpqua Bank. As a key banking advisor, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our Middle Market clients, identifying new business opportunities, and providing customized banking solutions to meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect and secure new commercial relationships to grow the bank's Middle Market business
  • Develop and execute strategies to acquire, retain, and grow select clients
  • Collaborate with Client Solutions Manager to expand existing relationships and identify new business opportunities
  • Provide holistic banking solutions to clients, including loan, deposit, and core banking products
  • Lead cross-functional teams to respond to customer requests and identified needs
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the bank's systems and policies applicable to underwriting and portfolio management
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments to provide expert advice to clients
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4-7 years of relevant Middle Market banking experience and/or proven track record of exceeding performance in developing business in the Middle Market segment and industry
  • Proven track record of success in developing new business, growing market share, and establishing/growing a quality supportive network
  • Strong knowledge of bank loan, deposit, and core fee income solutions
  • Excellent relationship management and business development abilities
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong client relationship and internal partnering skills
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage customer relationships
