Job Summary:

The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the development of system requirements and solutions
  • Leading engineering teams in the design and implementation of complex systems
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of systems
  • Providing expert advice on system engineering lifecycle and best practices
  • Overseeing and coordinating the work of senior-, mid-, and junior-level contractor systems engineers
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Systems Engineering or a related field
  • Expert-level experience in government or industry in relevant work areas, including DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process, or system engineering of large complex Systems of Systems or Service-Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle and experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools, and languages
  • Software Development Framework certification and/or INCOSE Expert System Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification
  • Membership or leadership participation in professional organizations such as ACSM, ASCE, ASPRS, OGC, SAREM, or USGIF
Desired Skills:

We are looking for candidates with experience in:

  • Engineering solutions using Cloud-Based Technology, such as Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), On-demand self-service, Broad network access, Resource pooling, Rapid elasticity, Measured Service, Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
  • Engineering solutions using structured and unstructured Big Data
  • Engineering solutions using Automation, Augmentation, and Artificial Intelligence technologies
  • Demonstrated expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems, geomatics, or related fields
