Fairbanks Memorial Hospital is a non-profit facility owned by the Greater Fairbanks Community Hospital Foundation. A Joint Commission-accredited facility with 152 licensed beds, we serve as the primary referral center for residents of Alaska's interior.
We have a strong patient to nurse ratio and a culture of Shared Leadership. Our location offers incomparable lifestyle rewards away from work. In Fairbanks, small-town living, spectacular natural beauty, and endless recreation combine to create a one-of-a-kind place to live, work, and play.
In this role, you will oversee the quality, risk management, safety, and nursing standards of our team. As a leader, you will model and resource people for providing quality patient care and maintaining clinical competency on unit/department. You will determine and direct staffing needs on a shift-to-shift basis, facilitating staff to patient ratios in a fiscally responsible manner.
This position requires a current, valid RN license in the state of practice or compact RN licensure for the current state of practice. BLS certification is also required. Additional certification or continuing education may be necessary based on the area of practice.
As a member of our team, you will contribute to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes. You will participate in the improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes, which may include participating in professional organizations.
