Role Summary:
As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in delivering precise and effective pharmaceutical care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Administering pharmaceutical services in alignment with established protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Overseeing the preparation and distribution of medications based on prescriptions from authorized healthcare providers.
  • Ensuring timely processing of medication orders and safe delivery of medications and intravenous solutions to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing pharmaceutical care principles to optimize medication-related outcomes for patients.
  • Coordinating medication distribution within your designated areas of responsibility.
  • Providing educational support to patients and healthcare team members, fostering a positive and motivating learning environment.
  • Actively participating in initiatives aimed at enhancing medication safety and quality improvement.
  • Demonstrating cultural sensitivity and competence in communication, recognizing the impact of diverse patient backgrounds on care delivery.
  • Exhibiting knowledge and skills pertinent to the specific patient populations served by the department.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) from an accredited institution is required, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge and skills in pharmaceutical care.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • One year of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting within the last two years.
  • Completion of a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
  • Post-graduate pharmacy residency completion.
Licensure and Certification:
  • Current licensure as a registered pharmacist.
  • Membership in professional organizations such as ASHP, ASCP, WSPA, APHA, or ACCP is preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • If classified as a Pharmacist-Certified, Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) certification is required.
