Job Summary

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a skilled Monitor Technician to join our Telemetry department. As a key member of our nursing team, you will provide 24/7 telemetry monitoring and observation for inpatients from all disciplines throughout the hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor patients on remote telemetry and notify nursing staff of changes in patient status
  • Interpret rhythm strips and maintain equipment
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive the highest possible care
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED or formal educational equivalent
  • Six (6) months direct patient care related experience
  • Preferred: experience interpreting rhythms, certified as a nursing assistant or military corpsman, current BLS, and at least one (1) year of direct patient care related experience
