Job Summary: As a key member of the United Community Credit Union team, the primary role of this position is to provide exceptional member service and support. This involves conveying a high-quality of service while identifying member needs and recommending suitable solutions. The position requires performing transactional duties with high accuracy, including receiving or paying out funds in accordance with credit union policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet members professionally and promptly, providing a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.
  • Provide comprehensive, accurate, and efficient member transactions in a timely manner, ensuring a seamless experience for all members.
  • Maintain full knowledge of all products and services, enabling effective cross-selling and referrals as needed.
  • Complete account transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, account transfers, wire transfers, travelers checks, and money order sales, with high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Effectively execute daily branch balancing procedures, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial transactions.
  • Identify member financial needs and provide personalized recommendations for products and services, or refer members to the appropriate department as necessary.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of member personal and account information, adhering to strict data protection protocols.
  • Promote and support the mission and vision of the credit union, ensuring that all employees embody the organization's values and principles.
  • Maintain a clean, well-maintained, and secure work area, reflecting positively on the credit union's image and reputation.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to member concerns and questions, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Education: A High School Diploma/GED or higher is required.
  • Experience: Previous cash handling and/or teller experience is preferred.
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with members, management, and staff.
    • Punctuality and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent member service skills, with a focus on providing a positive and welcoming experience for all members.
    • A professional appearance, dress, and attitude, reflecting positively on the credit union's image and reputation.
    • Basic math skills, including the ability to operate a 10-key calculator and computer keyboard.
    • A strong working knowledge of relevant software, including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
Essential Job Demands:
  • Physical Requirements: The position requires regular standing, sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling, talking, and hearing, with close vision and the ability to focus.
  • Working Conditions: The work is performed indoors, with some potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to electronics work. May require periodic travel between branches, with exposure to potential hazardous conditions such as robbery.
