We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our research team at Saint Louis University. The successful candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology and a passion for understanding the connections between lipid load, mitochondrial biology, and cardiac arrhythmias in animal models of cardiomyopathy and heart failure.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research on the connections between lipid load, mitochondrial biology, and cardiac arrhythmias in animal models of cardiomyopathy and heart failure.
- Work with C. elegans and mice models to study inter-generational cardiovascular effects of Nicotine exposure.
- Develop and implement new research protocols and techniques as needed.
- Collaborate with other researchers and students to advance the field of cardiovascular research.
- PhD or Equivalent in molecular biology or other biological sciences.
- Experience working with patch clamp devices, Langendorff perfusion preps, and working heart preps.
- Experience with basic molecular biology tools such as Crispr editing, SiRNA, and single cell RNA sequencing.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with students and other researchers.
