Job Title: Intensive Care Unit Nurse

Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year

About Our Unit:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our 38-bed multidisciplinary Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Boston Medical Center. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient-centered care and contributing to the highest quality outcomes.

Our ICU is a unique environment that offers nurses the opportunity to work with patients from various medical specialties, including cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, neurology, and more. You will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise in all areas of critical care while working collaboratively with a talented and compassionate nursing team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in the ICU unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families
  • Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
  • Update and manage patient records
  • Enter and interpret computerized data/information
Requirements:
  • Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • 2 years of RN experience required in a med/surg setting
  • ICU experience preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
  • Nursing degree: Associate of Science Degree in Nursing (ASN) required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
  • Basic computer proficiency
