About the Role:

KBR is seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level Image Scientist to join our team in the Washington Metropolitan Area. As a key member of our team, you will provide expertise in imagery science, imagery analysis, and photogrammetry to support government customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical reviews and consultations to ensure high-quality imagery products.
  • Develop and validate image processing algorithms to support GEOINT product quality assessments.
  • Conduct imagery science services and analysis to assess product quality parameters, including sensor fidelity, pixel registration, and MTF.
  • Support algorithm development and validation for imagery science tasks.
  • Provide photogrammetric services and engineering to assess product geolocation accuracy and mensuration accuracy.
  • Collaborate with team members to plan, execute, and analyze GEOINT product quality assessments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Imaging Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, or related STEM field.
  • Minimum 4-7 years of experience in image science, imagery analysis, and photogrammetry.
  • Working knowledge of Image Quality Equations (IQEs) and creation of algorithm assessments.
  • Experience with imaging systems, including PAN, IR, MSI/HSI, RADAR, and LIDAR.
  • Simulation and modeling experience, with ability to develop algorithm description documentation.
  • Familiarity with current GEOINT systems, products, and development.

Security Clearance Requirements: Active TS/SCI (with Poly preferred)
