Job Title: Senior Communication Architecture Analyst

The Aerospace Corporation is a trusted partner to the nation's space programs, solving the hardest problems and providing unmatched technical expertise. We are seeking a Senior Communication Architecture Analyst to join our team. This technical leader will mentor early- and mid-career staff, especially in the areas of effective engagement with customers, career development, teamwork, collaboration, analysis techniques, and data visualization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide analysis to support recommendations for research, development, and acquisition decisions of legacy and emerging customer space communications architectures, including related ground systems and supporting technologies.
  • Develop and present timely and technically accurate presentations and reports that clearly communicate analysis results and provide recommended solutions to technical leads, management, and customers.
  • Aid in sustainment, development, and growth of the organization's analysis and simulation capabilities to support new functional areas for our diverse customer base.
  • Independently develop and strengthen relationships with senior program office managers and customer senior leadership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, physics, operations research, mathematics.
  • 12 years of increasingly responsible engineering experience.
  • Knowledge in one of these specific national security space or intelligence mission areas: geo-spatial intelligence, signals intelligence, space surveillance, space protection, ground systems, or communications infrastructure supporting defense or intelligence capabilities.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, personal accountability, and adaptability to changing customer expectations.
  • Proficiency in astrodynamics or space operations.
  • Experience with one or more software languages that may include Python, C++, or MATLAB.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A graduate degree in the fields of study mentioned above.
  • Significant, firsthand work history in the functional/mission areas listed above.
  • Academic background in systems engineering and modeling & simulation.
  • Knowledge of Intelligence Community or U.S. Department of Defense business practices, acquisition policies, or space mission portfolios.
