Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Infection Control Specialist, you will be pivotal in the execution of our infection control initiatives at the hospital level. Your responsibilities will include:
- Educating healthcare professionals on infection prevention strategies.
- Consulting with hospital leadership and staff on infection control matters.
- Implementing and communicating effective, evidence-based infection prevention protocols.
- Collaborating with physicians, department heads, and clinical teams to advance infection control projects throughout the facility.
- Identifying, analyzing, and reporting on healthcare-associated infections while promoting performance enhancement and patient safety.
- Ensuring compliance with reporting requirements for healthcare-associated infections as mandated by relevant regulatory bodies.
Compensation
Salary Range: $112,900 - $256,900 Annually
Qualifications
We are looking for a meticulous and results-oriented clinical leader who possesses:
- A Bachelor's degree in a health-related discipline or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- A Master's degree is highly preferred.
- Certification in Infection Control & Epidemiology (CIC) is mandatory.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a clinical or hospital environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical and operational aspects of infection control, including policies, regulatory standards, surveillance, and investigative techniques.
- Expertise in data management, analysis, research methodologies, and documentation practices relevant to infection control.
- The ability to contribute to studies, investigations, reports, presentations, and the formulation of new infection control protocols and policies.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management capabilities.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- The capacity to provide insights and recommendations on complex issues related to functionality, clinical quality, efficiency, and program development.
