As a walk-in clinic, Integral Care offers immediate support to individuals facing mental health emergencies. Clients can engage with a counselor, explore safety measures, consult with a prescriber for potential medication options, and receive information about additional beneficial programs. Those in psychiatric distress are entitled to prompt evaluation and assessment upon arrival at our facility. We provide stabilization support to residents experiencing acute psychiatric crises or those at risk of significant deterioration, with a focus on facilitating successful connections to ongoing services and referrals.

The psychiatrist will operate within a community mental health framework, delivering medical services in accordance with their licensure, training, and the prevailing standards of care. Responsibilities include assessing and documenting signs of psychopathology, developing diagnostic formulations, and evaluating client needs to meet case requirements. The psychiatrist will communicate findings and recommendations to clients, determine the urgency of treatment initiation, and ensure that informed consent for medication is obtained and documented appropriately.

With client consent, the psychiatrist will implement treatment plans, maintain accurate records of interactions and therapeutic progress, and collaborate with therapists to enhance care quality. This role requires effective teamwork with Unit Managers, the Associate Medical Director, and the Chief Medical Officer to ensure high standards of clinical care for all clients.

Attendance: Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this role. Additional responsibilities may be assigned, and a flexible work schedule may be necessary.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Doctorate degree required.

Licensure:

  • Must be licensed to practice medicine in Texas.

  • Bilingual candidates are preferred.

Work Schedule: Hours and workdays vary.

Compensation: $122.66 per hour.
