Job Description:
The Psychiatric Nurse Specialist is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing home care services. This role requires experience in nursing, with an emphasis on community health education and experience. The RN builds from the resources of the community to plan and direct services to meet the needs of individuals and families within their homes and communities.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct home care services
- Build relationships with community resources
- Provide education and support to individuals and families
Requirements:
- Psychiatrically trained Registered Nurse (RN) with current and unencumbered license to practice professional nursing in the state of employment
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program, preferred
- Two (2) years of recent psychiatric care experience
- One (1) year of home health care experience
- Management experience not required, but direct supervisory experience of Licensed Vocational Nurses and Nurse Aides/Assistants, preferred
