Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

At Freedom Pointe at The Villages, we are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents.

Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant will assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, hair care, nail care, mouth care, back care, and toileting. The successful candidate will also transport residents to and from activities and appointments, assist licensed personnel with treatments and collection of specimens, and take vital signs as directed.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, hair care, nail care, mouth care, back care, and toileting.
  • Transport residents to and from activities and appointments in a timely manner.
  • Assist licensed personnel with treatments and collection of specimens and take vital signs as directed.
  • Assist in keeping residents' rooms neat and replenish care items as needed.
  • Observe residents and answer call bells in a timely manner to determine residents' needs.
  • Report any unusual conditions or reactions to Nurse.
  • Assist residents with shopping, packing, or unpacking personal belongings when required and as directed.
  • Respond to Fire and Disaster alarms and drills according to procedure and assist residents to safety during an evacuation.
  • Serve between meal nourishments as ordered by physician.
Requirements:
  • Must be fully COVID and flu vaccinated per CDC guidelines and Masonic Village policy.
  • Must be comfortable working with COVID-positive patients.
  • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant or participation in on-the-job orientation leading to the certification required.
