Job Overview

Location: Cantex Continuing Care Network

Position Summary:

The primary objective of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) role is to deliver essential daily nursing care and services to assigned Patients, adhering to their individualized care plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and document personal care for assigned Patients in compliance with safety policies and state/federal regulations.
  • Encourage and facilitate the highest level of independence for Patients.
  • Communicate Patient status to the supervising charge nurse at the start and end of each shift.
  • Document observations and contribute insights regarding Patients' conditions as required.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for Patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Follow established procedures for safe lifting and transferring of Patients.
  • Ensure that all equipment, including mobile devices, is charged, clean, and operational, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
  • Participate in annual in-service training programs to uphold nursing assistant certification.
  • Perform necessary housekeeping or maintenance tasks to ensure a hazard-free environment.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities and serve as a role model for the team.
  • Understand and enforce Cantex Continuing Care Networks Clinical Policies and Procedures for Abuse Prevention.
  • Attend weekly Patient Care Management Systems in-service and integrate learnings into Patient care.
  • Prioritize patient/resident safety in all tasks.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned.
