Job Summary

We are seeking a Technical Representative to join our team in Washington and Northern ID Territory. The successful candidate will work with Sales Representatives to grow guarantee and product sales by providing installation training, job support services, and inspections. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of roofing systems and be able to communicate effectively with customers, specifiers, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections of field applications to protect JM's interests while encouraging contractors to repurchase from JM
  • Demonstrate new products to owners, specifiers, and contractors with confidence
  • Improve JM owner relationships while resolving guarantee claims issues
  • Conduct training seminars for owners, specifiers, and contractors
  • Maintain and build relationships with JM-approved contractors' field personnel
  • Mentor and share roofing and customer skills knowledge with less experienced field Technical Representatives
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, plus three years of roofing experience, or a minimum of five years of roofing experience
  • Emphasis on low-slope commercial roofing preferred
  • Registered Roofing Observer Certification preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Solid presentation skills
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Proven problem-resolution skills
  • Ability to provide direction to less experienced JM Technical personnel
  • Working knowledge of applicable software applications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Proven ability to negotiate
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to interface at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
