RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled CT C-arm Technologist to join our team. As a CT C-arm Technologist, you will operate assigned scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient Imaging (90%):
- Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
- Explain and prepare patients for scanning, imaging, and diagnostic procedures, explaining the procedure and positioning patients for optimal results.
- Perform routine and advanced scanning and imaging procedures on designated body parts, providing patient support and talking to patients throughout the procedure.
- Adjust scanning and imaging parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
- Maintain positive relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and other associates and peers.
- Follow physicians' orders precisely and conform to safety regulations to protect patients, coworkers, and yourself.
- Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Maintain an orderly and clean work area, promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers.
- Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
- Clean and disinfect equipment after each use.
- Ensure compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.
- Scanning Department Support (5%):
- Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
- Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
- Assist with training new associates, providing resource and technical expertise as applicable.
- Other Tasks (5%):
- Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
- Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform scanning procedures independently.
- CT certification.
- Bilingual.
