Job Overview

Position Title: Nutritional Services Assistant

Key Responsibilities

As a Nutritional Services Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Effectively communicating with team members and residents in person, via phone, and through written correspondence.
  • Ensuring compliance with all facility policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining a friendly, calm, and cooperative demeanor while performing duties.
  • Preparing and serving meals, snacks, and beverages, adhering to dietary and sanitary standards.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, and dining spaces.
  • Delivering food and beverages throughout the facility as required.
  • Assisting with meal tray preparation and serving residents in the dining area.
  • Receiving and storing supplies in accordance with facility protocols.
  • Assuming cooking responsibilities as needed, following established guidelines.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in food preparation within an institutional or commercial setting (preferred).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Successful completion of a tuberculosis test and medical evaluation.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs on occasion.
  • Prompt and regular attendance is essential.
