Position Overview

The Aluminum Fabrication Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing the assembly of aluminum boat hulls and associated parts within a manufacturing environment. This position involves assisting in the strategic planning, organization, and setup of the fabrication area to promote effective production of premium aluminum vessels.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and coordinating the assembly of aluminum boat hulls and components in alignment with production timelines and quality benchmarks.
  • Ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and practices.
  • Generating requisitions for necessary materials and supplies for the fabrication process.
  • Leading and mentoring staff within the aluminum fabrication area.
  • Participating in quality assurance evaluations of completed products to verify compliance with established specifications.
  • Establishing and sustaining efficient production methodologies to guarantee timely product delivery.
  • Collaborating with other departments to synchronize production workflows.
  • Addressing and resolving any production challenges that may arise, implementing effective solutions.
  • Organizing and planning work schedules to achieve production objectives.
  • Overseeing certifications for the welding team.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess AWS Aluminum welding certification along with experience in aluminum boat fabrication. Strong leadership and communication capabilities are essential, as well as a comprehensive understanding of production methodologies. Candidates should demonstrate robust problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment. A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience is generally expected.
