At FEI Engineering, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Survey Party Chief to lead field operations in North Carolina. This exciting role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of land surveying.

About the Role

This is a full-time, non-exempt position responsible for leading and supervising a field surveying team with expertise and precision. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in land development surveying, a valid driver's license, and proficiency with Topcon, Leica, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise field surveying teams
  • Conduct various surveys: boundary, topographic, control, mortgage, as-built, and construction staking
  • Interact professionally with clients and stakeholders
  • Manage equipment, vehicles, and supplies
  • Ensure accurate data collection, reporting, and delivery to the office daily
What You'll Need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in land development surveying
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proficiency with Topcon, Leica, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Physical stamina for outdoor fieldwork in diverse conditions
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is $75,000 - $90,000, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, paid holidays, PTO, and a 401(k) retirement plan (subject to eligibility).
