Cibola General Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operating room team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sterility in our surgical equipment and instruments.
Key Responsibilities- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that our Sterile Processing department complies with all relevant regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical equipment and instruments, including orthopedic, GYN, and general surgical instruments.
- Instrument Assembly: Assemble and inspect complex surgical instruments and instrument sets, including endoscopes and colon scopes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, sterilization, and inspection, in accordance with OSHA and Joint Commission standards.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in sterile processing preferred.
- Certification: Certification as a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician or Certified Registered Central Service Technician is preferred.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for extended periods and maintain productivity standards.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrated technical knowledge of sterile processing and excellent communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
