Key Responsibilities

Our experienced professionals are unique, utilizing their skills and expertise to generate measurable, improved outcomes for our clients. The Turnaround and Restructuring (TRS) Senior Vice President will collaborate with a team of AlixPartners professionals to deliver business, financial, and strategic consulting advice to companies facing underperformance or requiring critical solutions to complex issues. In this engaging and demanding role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by assisting clients in effectively navigating their challenges and promoting organizational excellence in high-stakes situations.

The TRS Senior Vice President position is an advanced-level role that supports one or more client engagement teams. A TRS Senior VP will possess direct experience in restructuring advisory and/or distressed debt portfolios, complemented by robust financial and analytical capabilities. In addition to strong data management, interpersonal, writing, and communication skills, as well as executive presence, the TRS Senior Vice President is expected to have hands-on experience in developing integrated three-statement financial models and 13-week cash flow projections. The ability to guide clients and engagement teams through challenging turnaround and restructuring scenarios, both in and out of court, is essential, along with a willingness to undertake extensive travel. Occasionally, long hours during the week and on weekends may be necessary due to client demands.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant restructuring or distressed experience in a professional services or consulting firm environment is required; 8 or more years is preferred.
  • Advanced degrees and applicable professional certifications are preferred.
  • A proven track record of consistently delivering high-value work to meet client needs.
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills, with a solid understanding of financial statements.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, capable of preparing well-structured, easily comprehensible analyses and presentations. Effectively communicates information in English and adapts to the audience. Delivers influential client communications with clarity and confidence.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Willingness to work outside of standard U.S. business hours, particularly as unique projects or needs arise.
  • Ability to work full-time in both office and remote environments; physically capable of sitting/standing at a computer and working in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.

The salary range for this role considers various factors and is between $175,000/year - $275,000/year, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
