Dimensional Inspector

**About the Role**

Farwest Steel is seeking a skilled Quality Control Technician to join our team. As a Quality Control Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products meets customer and company requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to Farwest standards, industry standards, and customer requirements.
• Research and write non-conformance/returned goods authorizations.
• Perform formal First Article Inspections and record data on internal and/or customer provided documentation.
• Develop and maintain written procedures for Farwest, including QWIs (Quality Work Instructions), SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and Quality Manual Revision.
• Conduct weld inspections, including visual, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant inspections.
• Provide training for operators and other inspectors, as well as instructional classes for prints.

**Requirements**

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Print reading and mathematical calculation skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with courtesy and tact, in dealing with coworkers, customers, and vendors.
• Proficient use of PC software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Three plus years of inspection experience.
• Familiarity with Romer Arm, FARO Arm, or other CMM. Planar equipment is a plus.
• Weld inspection experience.
