About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to lead our Hospitality Ambassador Program in downtown areas. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing daily oversight and leadership to a team of Ambassadors, ensuring the successful delivery of our program and exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the Block by Block Culture and Mission, coordinating recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new Ambassadors.
  • Continually adjust the deployment of resources to match changing needs, including redeploying staff as required.
  • Identify and solve problems to improve the quality of the program, utilizing innovative solutions to lead our teams in downtown areas.
  • Procure and manage supplies and equipment, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Report outcomes through various channels, including our app-based system and spreadsheets.
  • Provide hands-on working management in the field, coaching, mentoring, and continuous training on standard policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of experience in managing a team, with a minimum of 5 continuous years of service.
  • Proven track record of supervising a team of 10+ people, with a focus on growth and development.
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on quality assurance and exceeding client expectations.
  • Ability to manage people and work in a team setting, with a focus on building a positive and inclusive culture.
  • Integrity and a strong sense of trust, with a commitment to doing what is right.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including event seasons and flexible hours.
