Job Summary

The Rehabilitation Specialist will provide direct and indirect services to adolescents under the supervision of the Director of Group Services, Coordinator, or designee. This includes performing rehabilitation assessments, developing individualized schedules of therapeutic groups, and making referrals to appropriate community agencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with adolescents and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct rehabilitation assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Lead or co-lead therapeutic groups and coordinate daily unit activities
  • Make referrals to community agencies and participate in treatment team meetings
  • Monitor and document adolescent progress in the medical record system
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in general studies plus 6 years of direct service experience in a mental health field (QMHP) or
  • Bachelor's degree in a mental health-related discipline plus 4 years of direct service experience in a mental health field (QMHP); or
  • Master's degree in a mental health-related discipline plus 2 years of direct service experience in a mental health field (QMHP);
  • 0-4 years of experience in a healthcare setting with work experience with seriously emotionally disturbed children or adults (preferred)
  • Valid California Driver's License (required)
  • Valid California Class "B" Driver's License (preferred)
