Critical Environment Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Environment Engineer to join our team at QTS Realty Trust, Inc. This role will be responsible for assisting with the engineering aspects of coordinating, installing, and integrating electrical and mechanical systems, operations, and maintenance for critical and non-critical systems within our portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support to all aspects of data center operations, including the operation, maintenance, and repair of mission-critical equipment and systems.
- Assist in site construction activities and installations, ensuring system design, installation, and testing adhere to operational standards.
- Support local customer installations, coordinating site technical solutions and drawings for customer move-ins and turn-ups.
- Maintain compliance with local health and safety standards and national electrical and building codes.
- Interface with vendors, QTS Engineering, QTS Development, and peer operations organizations.
- Bachelor's degree or professional equivalent.
- HVAC or critical power certifications or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to travel to other data center locations as required.
- US Citizenship required due to federal customer contracts.
- Two or more years of direct experience with engineering-related activities in a technical or critical environment.
- Ability to develop solutions and create technical plans on projects.
- Basic understanding of both mechanical and electrical equipment, systems, and design related to data centers.
- Knowledge of electricity and medium to low voltage electrical distribution systems.
