We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Help patients with mobility and positioning, transferring and ambulating as needed
- Take and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
- Observe and report any changes in the patient's condition to the nurse
- Assist with patient meals and hydration needs
- Perform basic nursing procedures such as wound care, catheter care, and bowel and bladder management
- Assist with range-of-motion exercises and other rehabilitation activities
- Clean and organize patient rooms and maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients
- Participate in care planning and document care provided in the patient's medical record
- Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and the healthcare team
- Current certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) in the state of employment
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to lift and move patients, and perform other duties as assigned
- Work may be performed in a hospital, nursing home, or other healthcare setting
- May be required to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
- May be required to lift and move patients and stand for long periods of time
- May be exposed to infectious diseases and other hazards commonly found in a healthcare setting
