About the Role

ADEX is seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Engineer to lead our team in delivering cutting-edge wireless solutions. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing RF solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • RF Design and Implementation: Develop and implement RF solutions for our clients, including LTE and NR networks.
  • iBwave Expertise: Utilize iBwave to design indoor wireless networks, including building 3D models, product placement, cabling, labeling, and baseband dimensioning.
  • Ericsson RAN Products: Experience with Ericsson RAN products, including design with Passive DAS and RDS systems.
  • Indoor Venue Design: Design wireless networks for various indoor venues, including business offices, hospitals, warehouses, factories, and stadiums.
  • Site Surveys and Construction: Understand site surveys and the construction process, including sectorization, SINR, and macro interference.
  • Customer Interaction: Consult with customers to understand their requirements and manage their expectations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead remote engineering teams and ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
  • Experience: 6-8 years of experience in RF engineering, with 3 years of experience in in-building deployments.
  • iBwave Expertise: Expertise in iBwave and ability to design complex wireless networks.
  • Education: BSEE or BSCS degree, with MSEE or MSCS preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Advanced technical knowledge in radio network design and implementation.
Competence Profile
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in RF engineering, with recent experience in radio network design, implementation, and optimization.
  • Leadership Experience: Leadership experience in at least 4 projects, with one project as the technical leader for a large-scale project.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with 5G NR, Massive MIMO, mmWave, LAA, 4G LTE, IoT, CBRS, and multi-vendor products.
  • Layer 3 Messages: Understanding of layer 3 messages for 4G and 5G networks.
  • Event Analysis: Ability to perform event analysis and address accessibility, retainability, and HO success rate issues.
  • Planning Tools: Extensive experience in planning tools such as Planet EV and Atoll.
  • Link Budget: Detailed understanding of the link budget and ability to create new projects in planning tools.
  • ACP Tool: Experience with the ACP tool and ability to make recommendations to improve network design.
  • Monte Carlo Analysis: Detailed understanding of Monte Carlo analysis and ability to perform model tuning.
  • Tuning: Ability to make recommendations in parameter changes, feature activations, and drive test data to improve system performance.
  • Optimization Tools: Experience with optimization tools such as TEMS investigation, Actix, Agilent, and R&S.
  • Drive Data Analysis: Ability to collect and analyze drive data and performance statistics, and solve complex issues.
  • IRAT Procedures: Understanding of IRAT procedures and their impact on network quality.
  • Tool Improvements: Ability to suggest improvements to tools and understand their impact on the network.
  • Additional Carrier Impact: Understanding of the impact of adding additional carriers on the network, including 5G optimization.
  • RAN Features: Ability to implement and experiment with RAN features relative to traffic analysis.
  • Handovers and Network Capacity: Understanding of the relationship between handovers and network capacity, and ability to optimize both.
  • Ericsson ENM: Detailed knowledge of the Ericsson ENM and ability to operate optimization tools.
  • KPIs: Detailed knowledge of KPIs and ability to make recommendations to improve them.
  • Uplink Tuning: Understanding of how to enhance uplink tuning.
  • LTE/5G Optimization: Detailed understanding and experience in LTE/5G optimization.
  • Additional Skills: Proficient with MS Office, flexibility to travel extensively within the US, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to operate with high degree of independence, and ability to coordinate activities with various departments and companies.
