Job Title: Plumbing / Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Plumbing / Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Roanoke, VA. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and integrating water, sanitary, storm, medical gas, fuel oil, and sustainable plumbing systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate on complex engineering projects, performing detailed design tasks for water distribution, sanitary and stormwater management, medical gas systems, and fuel oil infrastructure.
  • Develop innovative and sustainable water solutions, incorporating automation to improve efficiency and accuracy in design processes.
  • Leverage software such as Revit, Plant 3D, and Dynamo for advanced modeling and design automation.
  • Propose and implement modifications to standard engineering procedures to solve unique design challenges.
  • Provide plumbing designs in accordance with local codes and criteria as well as federal DOD (UFC) criteria.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in project data or design results.
  • Guide and mentor entry-level engineers, fostering a collaborative and learning-focused environment.
  • Manage project tasks and deliverables in accordance with agreed-upon budgets and schedules with minimal supervision.
  • Utilize industry trends and innovations in plumbing systems and automation to design systems for a variety of clients.
