Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Chief, Division of Neuroanesthesia Associate/ Full Professor in the non-tenure academic clinician track. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Division of Neuroanesthesia across all three missions: Clinical, Education, and Research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement curriculum for residents on the neuroanesthesia rotation
  • Teach medical students, residents, and fellows rotating through the operating rooms
  • Participate in lectures, small groups, workshops, and/or simulation sessions
  • Provide neuroanesthesia and general anesthesia at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Penn Presbyterian Medical Center
  • Recruit, support, and mentor faculty specializing in Neuroanesthesia within the division
  • Collaborate with other leaders in the Department, Service Line, Hospital, VA and Health System to improve the division
Requirements
  • MD or MD/Ph.D. degree
  • ABA certification in anesthesiology
  • Ability to obtain a Pennsylvania license
  • Fellowship training in neuroanesthesia and/or extensive experience in neuroanesthesia
  • Prior leadership experience and record of successful teaching/mentorship
