Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner II to join our team at Unavailable. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care services to patients in various settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer a full range of respiratory care modalities, including mechanical ventilation, in accordance with medical and supervisory direction.
  • Operate and maintain blood gas analyzers to ensure accurate results.
  • Provide quality respiratory care services, including routine and complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, to evaluate, stabilize, prevent, or remedy pulmonary abnormalities in neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Develop and implement multi-disciplinary plans of care, including respiratory care protocols, to assess indications, initiate appropriate therapeutic interventions, and evaluate anticipated outcomes.
  • Act as a clinical resource person to the department and hospital patient care team, providing education to patients and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with the NICU, L&D, ED, and ICU teams to provide comprehensive care.
Requirements
  • Completion of an AMA-approved respiratory therapy program.
  • Current California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
  • Two (2) years of acute care experience, with one (1) year of critical care experience.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current California Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license.
