The Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team plays a crucial role in navigating compliance frameworks pertinent to database-as-a-service offerings across diverse industries. This team interprets these frameworks to recommend optimal implementation strategies and collaborates across the organization to establish and uphold processes and systems that support GRC initiatives. In this role, you will have the unique chance to apply your expertise in a hands-on capacity while expanding your knowledge and skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across departments to define and implement compliance programs, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI, HIPAA, GDPR, and FedRAMP.
  • Partner with engineering teams to validate compliance-related changes, conduct product testing, and assist in drafting necessary documentation.
  • Execute compliance monitoring activities, including employee security onboarding, vendor assessments, customer survey responses, and quarterly access reviews.
  • Work with Operations to facilitate access governance through onboarding and configuration processes.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Privacy Legal teams to enhance the company's privacy tools.
  • Engage with Security to maintain corporate security tools and processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT audit, GRC, or information security.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems Management; or equivalent experience.
  • Possession of one or more relevant certifications such as CISA, PCIP, or CIPP.
  • In-depth knowledge of security compliance frameworks and their application in cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with GRC and security management tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on holistic solutions.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic environment, viewing yourself as a partner in advancing business objectives.
  • Demonstrated responsibility, ownership, and accountability in your work.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to the demands of a startup culture.
  • Willingness to take on additional tasks as needed.
  • Deep understanding of database technologies is advantageous.
  • Experience in coding or software development is a plus.

Eligibility

Must be a US Citizen and reside full-time in the United States.

Compensation

This position offers competitive cash compensation along with stock options. Salary ranges are based on various factors, including experience, qualifications, skills, and geographical location.
