Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Stores: Work closely with stores to ensure they provide valuable feedback and direction, supporting their calls and requests.
  • Support Assigned Buyer/Product Group: Support the assigned Buyer/product group according to the company's financial goals and objectives.
  • Vendor Management: Ensure all vendor and product documentation is complete and on file with required departments within the company.
  • Purchase Order Management: Work directly with vendors to manage purchase orders, including logistics, distribution, discrepancies, and data entry.
  • Order Tracking and Reconciliation: Track international and domestic orders, F&D Express, Special Order purchases, and Opportunity Buy's for the stores.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Research and reconcile invoice and receiving discrepancies, coordinating with the accounting department as needed.
  • Product Line Review and Analysis: Play a key role in product line review, research analysis, preparation, presentation, review, selection, and implementation.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in General Business or related field (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education).
  • Experience: One to four years in purchasing, buying, merchandising, brand management, marketing, store operations, or related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate to advanced level Excel required), detail-oriented, highly organized, ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
  • Travel: Limited travel required, including air and car travel.
  • Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet.
