Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse Clinician III to join our team at UTMB Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and assisting in cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures, including vascular and interventional procedures.
  • Independently perform emergency procedures associated with catheterization procedures.
  • Follow established standards and practices under the direction of a credentialed invasive cardiologist and electrophysiologist.
  • Competently function as a member of the interdisciplinary team, providing problem-focused and patient-centered care.
  • Serve as a resource for Cath Lab - Nurse Clinician I or II, managing contingency situations and providing guidance and support as needed.
Requirements
  • RN with critical care and/or Cath/EP experience, intermediate care experience, or two years of clinical RN experience.
  • Current license or valid permit to practice in Texas.
  • Cardiovascular certification such as CVRN II or higher, CCRN, RCIS, RCES preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cardiac Cath Lab) and Electrophysiology Laboratory (EP Lab) procedures and equipment.
  • Knowledge of established standards and practices in cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
