Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Christiana Care. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, as well as PET/CT procedures, in accordance with state regulations and under the guidance of physicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, including PET/CT scans
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including NRC and state licenses, and JCAHO regulations
  • Perform quality control and quality assurance tasks as defined by department protocols
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and perform injections as required
  • Operate nuclear medicine and PET/CT cameras, computers, and laboratory equipment
  • Assess patient needs and determine the most appropriate radiopharmaceutical and procedure
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • Current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(N) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
  • Licensed by the State of Delaware Authority on Radiation Protection and/or State of Maryland
  • BLS certification
