Calgon Carbon, a Kuraray Company, is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our EHS team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as implementing internal safety and environmental programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee safety and environmental compliance for the Bloomfield facility, including day-to-day operations, incoming spent carbons, air permit, wastewater discharge, and stormwater requirements.
  • Assist with EHS duties at other facilities as assigned by Manager.
  • Participate in daily plant meetings, inspect the plant daily, and provide safety and environmental training to employees.
  • Prepare all annual and periodic environmental reports for the assigned facilities, including SARA reporting, DMR, annual air permit certifications, deviation reports, and others as required.
  • Prepare permit renewal applications and modifications for air, water, and waste permits.
  • Develop and implement environmental programs for the Bloomfield facility.
  • Support an accident-free culture.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent from a four-year college or university is required.
  • 3-5 years of EH&S management experience is required.
