Role Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to enhance our expanding Life Science and Bioprocessing solutions, including products such as REBEL, ZipChip, MAVERICK, and MAVEN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing both on-site and remote customer support, which encompasses product installation, training, and ongoing assistance. Collaborating with the Customer Service and Quality Engineering (CSQE) team, you will ensure that every client receives exceptional support throughout their experience with our offerings. Regular interaction with our commercial field and internal teams will be essential to relay customer feedback and identify opportunities for future product enhancements.

This position will primarily operate in the Mid-Atlantic region, involving significant travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct product installations, training sessions, and service visits at client locations.
  • Deliver post-sales support, including troubleshooting and maintenance through various communication channels.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to create comprehensive training and assistance documentation.
  • Engage with Field Applications and Sales teams to establish and meet service and support goals for each client.
  • Coordinate with Product Development teams to share customer insights and feedback to drive product innovation.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong technical communication abilities and interpersonal skills, with a professional demeanor.
  • Proficient in laboratory sample handling techniques, including pipetting.
  • Experience in installing, maintaining, or operating complex analytical instruments such as mass spectrometers, CE, or LC systems.
  • Familiarity with biologically oriented systems is a plus.
  • Competence in electronic tools and communication platforms for SaaS products, including MS Office.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a service-oriented capacity is preferred.

  • Preferred candidates will be located in proximity to major biotech hubs.
  • This role requires a commitment to frequent travel.
  • Physical capability to lift and transport items weighing up to 50lbs.
