Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse (Clinical) Supervisor to join our team at the Defense Health Agency Civilian Corps in Falls Church, VA. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and supervision to a team of nurses in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to a team of nurses in a cardiology flight.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  • Identify and address any issues or concerns related to patient care or team performance.
  • Develop and implement education programs to enhance team knowledge and skills.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current, active, valid and unrestricted nursing licensure in any state or province of the United States.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Immunizations required.
  • Pre-employment physical due to heavy lifting.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment with frequent interruptions. The incumbent must be able to lift and move patients as needed. The work environment is typical of a healthcare setting with exposure to bloodborne pathogens and other infectious materials.
