POSITION OVERVIEW:

As the IT Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in managing the IT infrastructure within a large-scale distribution environment. Your expertise will ensure seamless operations and support for various IT applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver first and second-level IT support for distribution center functions, addressing hardware, software, network, and system challenges.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and updates on IT devices, including computers, scanners, and printers.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to analyze workflow processes and propose IT solutions for enhanced efficiency.
  • Assist in the setup and configuration of IT systems, adhering to company standards and security protocols.
  • Monitor system performance, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for technical support and equipment acquisition.
  • Create and maintain documentation for IT processes and configurations specific to the distribution environment.
  • Guide and mentor direct reports, providing constructive feedback.
  • Facilitate training for warehouse personnel on IT equipment and software, emphasizing best practices in security and data protection.
  • Engage in IT projects aimed at advancing the technological capabilities of the distribution center.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in a distribution center is essential.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline is acceptable.
  • A minimum of 3 years in an IT support role, ideally within a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and networks, with familiarity in warehouse management systems.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a knack for diagnosing technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical staff.
  • Self-motivated with strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Awareness of industry standards and regulations pertaining to IT in a warehouse context.
  • Detail-oriented with a sense of urgency and strong analytical skills.
