  • Exhibit exceptional customer service skills, aligning with the model of patient and family-centered care.
  • Take on additional responsibilities, dedicating at least 20% of time to tasks such as:
    • Identifying primary care gaps and preparing charts for outreach.
    • Assisting in residency clinic roles.
    • Conducting high-level disinfection.
    • Serving as a designated preceptor for new hires.
    • Participating in or leading special programs and grants.
    • Engaging in care management activities.
    • Acting as a qualified language interpreter.
    • Providing advanced support to providers during complex procedures.
    • Working as a flexible float across multiple sites.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, including clinical rotation, or equivalent experience is required.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience is necessary, which can include a completed internship.
  • Preferred: 2-3 years of Medical Assistant experience.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from an accredited organization is required upon hire.
  • At least one certification from a recognized medical assistant organization is preferred.
  • Licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is required within 90 days of hire.
