American Builders Supply Inc. stands as Florida's premier independent provider of construction materials for the residential building sector, with multiple locations across the state.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute a wide range of tasks to install and upkeep production machinery and the equipment within the facility.
Diagnose and troubleshoot PLCs and VFDs.
Carry out emergency and unscheduled repairs on production machinery during operations, along with scheduled maintenance tasks during machine downtime.
Perform basic machinist duties and responsibilities.
Utilize mechanical skills including, but not limited to, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting, and repair of production machinery.
Interpret equipment manuals and work orders to conduct necessary maintenance and servicing.
Identify issues, replace or repair components, test, and make necessary adjustments.
Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility infrastructure.
Engage in various plumbing, welding maintenance, and carpentry tasks.
Employ a range of hand and power tools, electric meters, material handling equipment, and welding techniques in executing duties.
Recognize faulty operations, defective materials, and report any unusual circumstances to the appropriate supervisory personnel.
Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Electrical or Welding fields
- CDL A experience or capability to operate a semi-truck/trailer is preferred.
- Strong work ethic and a desire to thrive in a professional environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Proficient problem-solving abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Capacity to plan, coordinate, prioritize, and meet strict deadlines
- Team-oriented mindset
- Flexibility to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced technical setting
