Position Overview:
Under the daily supervision of the on-duty Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, this role is essential in optimizing patient flow within the clinic while ensuring a superior patient experience.
The position involves executing various clinical and administrative responsibilities, including electronic medical record (EMR) documentation, in alignment with company policies. This role exemplifies and embodies the organization's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and the safety of all individuals.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in upholding a "365-day survey-ready" environment necessary for maintaining Joint Commission Accreditation.
- Gather patients' health information and medical histories.
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
- Conduct biometric screenings and administer flu and pneumonia vaccinations as directed by the Provider.
- Support the provider in specific protocols for specimen collection, such as strep, influenza, mono, and urinalysis.
- Accompany patients to examination rooms and ascertain their primary concerns.
- Consult with the provider regarding questions about service scope.
- Welcome customers or potential patients in the clinic's front area.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic space on a daily basis, including tasks such as waste disposal, supply order management, and cleaning.
- Address inquiries while adhering to HIPAA regulations in the front area.
- Utilize the PERK system for payment processing, explaining options such as prompt pay or insurance filing.
- Complete the patient registration process, ensuring accurate documentation and EMR logging.
- Manage patient flow in the waiting area, assisting with vital signs and initial history collection.
- Provide guidance to waiting patients regarding registration, estimated wait times, available services, and payment methods.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and return calls as necessary.
- Participate in off-site events and monthly screening initiatives, preparing supplies and registering patients.
- Compile weekly supply orders for provider approval and manage shipping tasks.
- Travel to designated clinics as required.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid LPN or LVN license.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and task management skills.
- Able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to travel independently as necessary.
- Basic mathematical skills.
