Enterprise Risk Actuarial Consultant

Join Securian Financial Group as an Enterprise Risk Actuarial Consultant and play a key role in shaping the company's risk management strategy. As a member of the ERM Actuarial Team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks that impact the company's financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the annual ORSA (Own Risk and Solvency Assessment) process, working closely with stakeholders to develop a comprehensive risk report.
  • Monitor ERM best practices, staying up-to-date with emerging trends, tools, and strategies to enhance Securian's ERM framework.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to manage Securian's risk inventory, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal risk management needs.
  • Develop and execute new or enhanced risk reporting to Securian's FRC, Risk Council, and ERM Governance Groups.
  • Provide actuarial analysis in support of Securian's insurance risk management, including mortality, longevity, morbidity, and policyholder behavior.
Requirements:
  • ASA or near-FSA actuarial designation
  • Strong creative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Decision-making skills and ability to act independently
  • High degree of initiative and ability to identify ideas and define and complete projects
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of ERM concepts
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
