Job Description:
This is a temporary-to-hire position that involves sorting raw materials, equipment, and finished packages to ensure the smooth workflow of the warehouse.
The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying work orders with corresponding item and batch numbers, moving items ready for delivery, loading stock onto delivery trucks, and reporting any damages to the supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify work orders to determine which item to sort into the designated storage area.
- Compare work orders against item and batch numbers to ensure accuracy.
- Move items ready for delivery to the designated loading area.
- Report any item damage to the warehouse supervisor.
- Label items with correct information, such as date, shipping, price, and quantity.
- Move items to delivery pallets and assist loaders with stacking items.
- Receive incoming shipments and verify information supplied.
- Ensure all stored items are packed and stacked according to OSHA standards and company safety policies.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or GED, or at least one year of experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to comprehend basic work instructions, and operate material handling equipment.
- Good hand and eye coordination, basic computer skills, and good communication skills.
- The ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, carrying, and pushing.
