Job Summary

Rumpke of Ohio, Inc. is seeking a skilled Commercial Driver to join our team as a Front Load Waste Collection Driver. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a front-load truck to collect and transport waste and recyclables to our disposal sites.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a Front-Load Truck Safely: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies, while operating a front-load truck.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to our commercial customers by emptying trash and recycling containers into the truck and hauling them to our disposal sites.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Complete and maintain accurate logs, including route sheets and driver logs.
  • Conduct Pre- and Post-Trip Inspections: Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in good working condition.
  • Interact with Internal and External Customers: Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers through professional communication and interaction.
Requirements
  • Valid Class B CDL: Possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License.
  • DOT Medical Card: Hold a valid Department of Transportation Medical Card or be able to obtain one prior to hire.
  • Age and Experience: Be at least 19 years old and have at least 3 years of experience as a CDL truck driver.
  • Driving Record: Have no more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years and no DUIs or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to perform physical tasks, including prolonged physical exertions, such as sitting, reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing, and lifting.
Working Conditions
  • Exposure to Traffic and Waste: Work in high-traffic conditions and be exposed to residential and commercial waste.
  • Overtime and Flexibility: Be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
