Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Support the creation and execution of comprehensive safety programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Conduct Safety Training and Compliance: Coordinate and deliver safety training sessions to ensure employees understand and adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Verify that all safety procedures and protocols align with OSHA regulations and Kaiser Aluminum's policies and standards.
- Investigate Safety Incidents: Participate in thorough investigations of safety-related incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Communicate Safety Information: Effectively disseminate safety information to employees, management, and contractors to promote a culture of safety awareness.

- Comply with Hearing Conservation and Respiratory Protection: Ensure that all employees adhere to hearing conservation and respiratory protection protocols.
- Perform Physical Demands: Ability to walk, climb, and work at heights as required by the job.
- Develop Emergency Response Plans: Assist in the creation and revision of emergency response plans to ensure preparedness for unexpected events.
- Resolve Safety Issues and Complaints: Collaborate with employees and management to resolve safety-related issues and complaints.
- Update Safety Training Data and Materials: Maintain and update safety training data, safety manuals, and reference materials.
- Support Health and Safety Management System: Act as a plant representative and contribute to the management of the Health and Safety Management System.
- Audit Work Sites: Conduct audits of employee and contractor work sites to ensure compliance with Kaiser Aluminum standards and regulatory requirements.
- Experience: Four plus (4+) years of experience in Occupational Safety & Health in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Ability: Strong technical ability to interpret and apply regulatory and company standards.
- PC Skills: Proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organizational skills.
- Teamwork and Time Management: Proven ability to work effectively in teams and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Union Experience: Union experience preferred.
