Purpose

The role of Senior Scrum Delivery Manager is critical to the organization's success in meeting customer needs. This position will drive the successful delivery of work by optimizing software development processes, removing impediments, and increasing communication and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple software development projects or workstreams to ensure alignment with organizational strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure mutual understanding and alignment.
  • Offer process insights and suggestions to improve team performance, using a servant-leadership approach.
  • Develop risk assessment methodologies to anticipate and mitigate threats to successful delivery.
  • Lead the discussion and implementation of process change management.
  • Facilitate the delivery of delivery roadmaps with key stakeholders.
  • Own the reporting of delivery success metrics as defined by the organization and teams.
  • Minimize administrative overhead while ensuring efficient processes.
  • Encourage a culture of team-driven decision making, collaborative commitments, knowledge sharing, and innovation.
  • Participate in building a diverse and inclusive team founded on trust and respect.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working as a Scrum Master, Project Manager, or Delivery Manager in a dynamic and rapidly scaling organization.
  • Good general understanding of software systems design, development, testing, deployment, and delivery.
  • Deep understanding of multiple Agile frameworks and hands-on experience applying them across multiple teams.
  • Strong experience with delivery and go-to-market methods and metrics.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to influence and guide teams, peers, and stakeholders towards best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring other delivery managers to enhance their proficiency and self-organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on proactive identification of challenges and creative solutions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior leadership and other teams effectively.
  • Skilled in resolving conflicts and facilitating difficult conversations, building and promoting healthy interpersonal relationships.
  • Advanced knowledge of multiple Agile tools, like Jira, with the ability to customize workflows and reports.
