Overview

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, a leading provider of cancer care in Colorado, is seeking an experienced PRN Nurse Clinician to join our team in the SE Division. This role may be based in Aurora, Centennial, Littleton, or Englewood (Swedish Hospital campus). As a PRN Nurse Clinician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our cancer care team.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient care with internal and external entities to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Triage patient calls regarding treatment and symptom management, providing timely and effective support.
  • Oversee patient compliance and adherence to oral chemotherapy regimens, ensuring optimal treatment outcomes.
  • Assist in patient education and follow-up after initial chemotherapy regimens, promoting informed decision-making and patient empowerment.
  • Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement IKM chemotherapy regimens, ensuring personalized and effective treatment plans.
  • Manage electronic and call-in prescriptions, as well as narcotic and chemotherapy refill requests, to ensure timely and accurate medication delivery.
  • Communicate lab results and scan findings to patients as needed, promoting transparency and patient engagement.
  • Support the MA staff with disability and FMLA paperwork, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between physicians, outside resources, and the infusion suite, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education.
  • Minimum two years of nursing experience required.

Nurses with OCN certification are eligible for OCN Incentive Pay after 90 days of employment or upon obtainment of certification.

Requires sitting/standing for extensive periods of time with the use of hands to finger, handle, or feel and arms to reach or carry. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision, color perception, and hearing to normal range. Requires legible handwriting.
