We are seeking a talented Systems Engineer to support and execute varied systems engineering activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct systems engineering activities for support of existing product as well as development of product modifications for military and commercial propeller platforms.
- Develop propeller control systems, including control law definition, and support customer fleet operations.
- Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues, and support aircraft modification sites and post-installation system checkout.
- Support modification and upgrades to legacy propeller test rigs, and perform dynamic modeling of propeller and control systems.
- Develop system safety and Failure Modes Effects and Criticality analysis for propeller hardware and software.
- Generate reports for engineering work performed, and support laboratory and production testing.
- Coordinate with engineering teams in Windsor Locks, CT, and Figeac, France, and travel occasionally to support suppliers, customers, and aircraft operators.
- U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations.
- Aerospace experience, systems engineering experience, and experience with aerospace systems software, including DO-178.
- Experience with MATLAB/SIMULINK, hydraulic/mechanical control systems, and Python or other high-level object-oriented programming languages.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
