Part Time Food Service Cook

At Middlebury College, we are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving menu items according to supervisor's instructions and food production sheets.
You will ensure that food is properly and safely prepared, stored, and served while complying with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards.
This is a part-time, hourly position with a starting salary range of $19.26-$23.59 per hour. Some hours may qualify for shift differential rates.
As a Cook, you will work cooperatively with others and accept direction from supervisors. You will cultivate a positive work environment and review production sheets and service menus to prepare appropriate food items.
You will prepare proteins, vegetables, fruits, and all other food items for use in recipes to support daily meal production. You may also prepare items for the salad bar area.
Requirements include working with all kitchen personnel to ensure proper quality and quantity of food produced in a timely manner. You will also assist other cooks as needed and perform other duties as necessary.
Before service, you will check food for taste, consistency, and presentation and correct known issues or alert a supervisor.
